It Was A Dark Matter Day

Yes, it was a Dark Matter Day. It started last Friday when I was making a call to a customer, then I heard an explosion outside the house. A second later, all the power went out in the neighborhood. The power outage lasted from 6:30PM to 10:30PM. When the power finally went on, I was certainly relieved, and I needed to start the day early, so I went to sleep. When I got up the next morning, went into the kitchen, and opened the refrigerator, it was very warm. All the food had spoiled and needed to be thrown out. I called a Tech to come down to have a look, and he told me it would cost the same amount to buy a new one if he had to fix so off to Best Buy I went.

When In Doubt, Use Proraso

Yes! When in doubt, use Proaso; that's what I did. It comes in a tube, so it's easy to just squeeze some on your fingertips and apply it to your wet face. You can use a brush to make the lather, or do what I did: massage it into your beard, whichever way you choose, the outcome will be the same amazing lather.

Now, for me, the only thing that I have to worry about is the shaving cream drying out. This is not the fault of Proraso because it happens to me no matter what shaving cream I use. All I do is just add a little water to my hand and then reactivate the shaving cream by going over the same areas I applied it to, and presto! Problem solved.

Despite my dull single-edge blade, the shaving cream allowed me to glide right over my face with an irritation-free shave with no nicks or cuts. Truly a wonderful shave.

Shaving With 2K Based on Creed Aventus

Today, I'm using 2K, created to commemorate reaching 2,000 FB Members. We are heading near 3K, so please let anyone who wants to join know. I would love to make a 3K soap for when that happens.

I had taken the liberty of making a new label for this soap because I don't really think the old one conveyed what the soap was all about in terms of scent. I hope the redesign helps in this direction.

Barbus Active - 6 years later

The last time I used Barbus shaving soap was 6 years ago. A subscriber sent me a box full of products and wanted me to do a review of all of them. I reviewed all the products that pertained to wet shaving. But he was still not satisfied; he wanted me to just keep using them, and I tried to explain to him that it just doesn't work that way. Clearly, we had a language barrier since he was from Slovakia and had come to the US and landed in N.J. At the time, his website only had products from Barbus https://grujoskionline.com/ but now his pages are full of other products from different companies. I wish him well.

Barbus Active is the one I'm using today, and when you watch the video, I didn't bowl lather; I just loaded the brush from the plastic tub, and in less than a minute, the brush was loaded, and I was ready to face lather. Man, it produced some thick creamy lather that got right into the bread, allowing me to shave without fear of irritation. The post-shave feel was a good one as well. I would still recommend Barbus, and after six years, the same soap did not disappoint.

Barbasol 1919 - Wet The Face Review

Last week's review felt good, and it's been a long time since I did one, so I went to my local pharmacy to see what I could pick off the shelves to do another review. I found Barbasol 1919. I had never used it before, but if I did, I can't remember.

What I didn't know at the time of purchase was that this shaving cream does not lather... at all, so if you're waiting to see that this video is not for you. What you will see is an alternative to a lather shave with more slickness and glide, you're going to know what to do with. It has that by the truckloads. So, no brush is needed since I have demonstrated that in this video. All that is needed is a small amount on your fingertips and just rub it into a wet beard, and you're good to go.

I have to say the post-shave feel was very nice, even after using the alum block on my face after the shave, I could still feel the slickness left behind.

Island Man - Wet The Face Review

By now, I don't need to explain who the Stirling Soap Co. is. If you're a wet shaver, you already know. I've seen this company grow from humble beginnings in his garage, expand twice, and then move the whole thing again into much larger facilities. It's an incredible story I would watch as a documentary on Netflix.

Allow me to express that Rod no longer requires external reviews for his soaps. Despite his established presence in the wet shaving industry, individuals still engage in reviews. I am writing to you today due to a request from one of my customers. I recently created a shaving soap holder for my brand, Wet the Face.
