Shaving With Through the Fire - Arrow

Today I'm using Arrow this is a sample I was given from the company called Through The Fire. Unfortunately, I could not find the website up but pastures seem to have some in stock along with Maggerds. The note on this Damask Rose, Cognac, Leather, Tobacco, and Oakmoss an amazing scent and I wish it was available for all to try but it seems and I don't know if this is 100% true that might be out of business.

Regardless it's a shame because this scent happens to be one of my faves and I remember doing a review back in 2019 about it as well but they had a website that was somewhat functional and now the URL does not work.

I Knew This Would Happen One Day

Well, it finally happened. While I was cleaning the den which I do every week I was pulling the plastic trash bag out from the trashcan when it knocked into the glass shelf I have. In turn, this caused the two bowls placed there to fall on a hard tile floor breaking both my Captain's Choice bowl and the first-ever WTF shaving bowl.

The breaking sound was something I will never forget. I could see them falling in slow motion but I was helpless to do anything. I stood there just looking at the shattered pieces on the ground for about 40 sec. What a disaster I thought. The first shaving bowl I ever purchased the captain's choice bowl is gone. I created my lathering technic with that bowl and have used it in so many shaving videos. My first-ever WTF bowl designed and created by Alford and myself for the Wet Shaving Community is gone as well.

It seems lately that I'm always stretched for time and today was no exception. When this happens I don't do a bowl lather but rather use something I know will work and get the job done. No need to bowl lather either just massage it in or use a brush and face lather it works fantastic. Very creamy and slick you'll find this shaving cream to be above the rest at this price point. I hear rumors that this was going to be discontinued but that was back in 2021 so if they didn't do it by now then it not going to happen. Pick one up you will not be disappointed.

Shaving With Thomas Shelby

For today's shave, we use what seems to be a favorite of many Thomas Shelby's Signature Scent, This is a 4 part series of shaving soaps with the theme of Peaky Blinders. We are still missing one more which I'm working on and should be out soon.

I think the scent was an unexpected surprise to most and once you use it you keep coming back for more. The other two follow-ups to the series are Alfie Solomons Oud and Arthur Shelby Bushmills.

Today we do a quick shave with Proraso Shaving cream. One of the best shaving creams on the market today with a tradition that goes way back. I had little time for myself last week and skipped my Sunday shave in the evening. I had to wait until Monday night to actually do the shave so I had more than a week's worth of growth.

No bowl lather this time so I just wet the face and then applied a little cream in the palm of my hand and rubbed it into the beard, next, I wet the brush placed a little cream inside, and did a face lather and of course, the results were outstanding and when it came to the O'Ccam's Razor it did an amazing job of removing all the beard in just one pass.
