Feeling quite fatigued from today’s activities, I desire a brief shave to enable me to retire to bed promptly and awaken at 4:00 AM for Monday’s work schedule. I have chosen the Nancy Boy Signature scent shaving cream, which I intend to apply to my fingertips and gently massage into my beard.

If you were not aware, Nancy Boy has bid farewell to the Wet shaving community. Their establishment closed its doors in April, marking a significant loss. Today, I'm going back 7 years to the Pacific Shaving Company, and if you've never heard of them, listen up.

The fourth offering in this series is Polly Gray. The late Helen McCrory plays Polly Gray, one of the most compelling characters in Peaky Blinders. As the matriarch of the Shelby family and treasurer of the Peaky Blinders gang, she is a formidable and intelligent woman who often acts as the voice of reason in the gang’s chaos.

Polly is fiercely protective of her family, especially her nephew, Tommy Shelby, and her son, Michael Gray. She was the one who kept the Shelby business running while the men were away fighting in World War I. Polly is known for her sharp wit, unwavering confidence, and ability to navigate the dangerous world of organized crime. However, she also carries deep emotional scars, particularly from the loss of her children to the foster system and her struggles with faith and morality.

Let's Shave With Proraso

Today I use shaving soap which I always pronounce wrong, so I won't say it, but it's called Proarso Red. I also used the plastic tub it comes in to load the brush and then do a face lather. This method never fails, and what a lather it makes. Some people have a problem with the scent, but I find it very pleasant. It goes on thick and rich, providing complete coverage, and the slickness and glide are always ready to help the shave along. The post-shave feels fantastic and is ready for an aftershave.

This week I only had time for one movie, which is Talk to Me (2023) is a supernatural horror film from A24, directed by Danny and Michael Philippou. The story follows a group of teenagers who discover they can communicate with spirits using a mysterious embalmed hand. When they hold the hand and say, "Talk to me," they allow a spirit to possess them for a short time, providing an intense and thrilling experience. However, when one of them breaks the rules and stays connected for too long, a terrifying chain of events is set into motion, leading to horrifying consequences.
