PURE by Gillette Shaving Cream: A Gentle Approach to a Smooth Shave
For those who seek a gentle yet effective shaving experience, PURE by Gillette offers a refreshing alternative to traditional shaving creams. Designed for men with sensitive skin in mind, this formula boasts no dyes, no parabens, and no sulfates, making it a great choice for those who want a cleaner, more natural shave.
What Makes PURE by Gillette Different?
Gillette, a brand long associated with precision shaving, developed the PURE line to cater to users looking for a milder, skin-friendly option. Unlike many mainstream shaving creams that contain harsh chemicals, PURE is infused with aloe, helping to soothe and protect the skin from irritation.
For generations, Nivea has been a trusted name in skincare, and its Nivea Men Originals Shaving Cream continues to be a go-to option for men looking for a comfortable and effective shave. This shaving cream stands out for its rich formula, which provides excellent lubrication, hydration, and protection for the skin. Whether you’re using a traditional safety razor or a modern cartridge razor, Nivea Men Originals ensures a smooth glide and minimal irritation.
Looking for something I hadn't used in a while, I found Cool Cologne. The first time I used this was in 2017, and the last time was in 2021. This is a shaving cream from the UK, I believe, and when I used it for the first time, I was impressed by the amount of menthol in the product.
Since I've had this one tube of shaving cream for over 8 years, the formula will start to break down. The one thing you could notice is the lack of creamy texture to the paste. It was unfortunately very dry and needed a boost of water. This led me to try a bowl lather, but that just didn't work out as planned. So I placed a large amount in the brush I was using, kept it wet as I could, and started a face lather. This turned out to be what was needed and I got the shaving cream to come back to life I even noticed the menthol was present. As it turns out I had a great shaving and would use this again but I don't think I'll be waiting eight years to try it again.
