When you least expect it something goes wrong

When making YouTube videos, things happen, and during this SOTD, they happened to me. Here I am showing the Deep shaving gel I was going to use, and the can malfunctions. I have never had a can of shaving cream ever in my years of shaving, malfunction like the one that did on that day.

I had to quickly reset and pick something else to use. Luckily, I had a few to choose from, and the one I selected was the Dandy Gent Shaving Cream. This is a lime Shaving Cream that is handmade in the UK, noted for its slickness, allowing your razor to glide smoothly over your face, for an irritation-free shaving experience.

I didn't want to bowl lather, so I took my brush and touched it to the shaving cream in the jar. I did this a few times, making sure I had a good amount on the brush before starting to face-lather. This created an amazing amount of lather with the great scent of lime, which held up during the entire shave.

Spices From the Sea Is Back!

I finally get to say this: Spices From the Sea is back in stock! That's what I'll be using in today's SOTD. I can't even begin to express the difficulty of finding all the things I needed to continue making this. One of the most requested shaving soaps and aftershave products we have in the Wet The Face catalog. Over a year of waiting and trying all kinds of alternative combinations, till I found the right one and everything started to click.

I feel this new scent is closer to the original Old Spice than before. Same base formula, so you know it's going to have plenty of lather, slickness, and glide. My shave was fantasic providing all the described lather, slickness, glide, and the post-shave feel was a good one as well. Even though I feel this is spot on, let me know how you feel

Lodge 49 Shave

Today I'm using Lodge 49. The title is derived from a TV series on AMC starring Wyatt Russell. Although the series was met with positive reviews, AMC canceled the series after its second season due to low ratings. Such a shame because the audience is left hanging, and we will never know what happened.

But what I do know is this shave was fantastic, the lather was thick and creamy, it got right into the beard and allowed for my razor to have an irritation-free shave. Plenty of slickness and glide. This ended with a post-shave feel that was very satisfying

1k Light Blue Two Pass Shave

Today, we use our 1K Membership shaving soap, now rebranded as the 1K Light Blue, with a new name and label, same amazing scent. We have only a few left in white tubes, so now is the time.

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue has been one of my favorite scents for some time, and when we finally reached 1K members in our Facebook group, that was the scent I used to celebrate the milestone. Now I get to use it for this shave, and if you haven't tried it, let me say you're missing something.

I also used the 1K aftershave, and when I woke up the next morning, I could still enjoy the scent. Not too many aftershaves do that, but this one did.
