Going back to the samples that I’ve received last week we have another new artisan or new to me I should say. The company is called Denton Majik Artisan shaving soaps. I had two scents Bright and Kusafiri both with great profiles the one I selected is Bright mostly for my love of menthol.
The packaging of the samples came in a small .652oz plastic tub with a twist on top pretty standard for samples and works extremely well. The two I received had been filled to the absolute top of the tub.
The scent profile is as follows Top notes of mint, Middle notes of citrus (sweet orange - bergamot & lemongrass) on a light base of lavender and patchouli. Apparently, the formula base is at a 1.1 version.
The performance was great an easy soap to lather and very easy to place into a lathering bowl, with only a brush full of water I was able to create some crazy lather which got right into the beard, and as I was painting my face with lather I noticed the menthol starting to kick in and along with the mint was a very nice experience indeed. The slickness and glide were more than enough to help me go over trouble spots without the fear of irritation. The post-shave feel was a bit tacky and I do demonstrate that in the video. That being said it does not take away from a great shave all I did was apply an aftershave and tackiness was fixed.
So I later plan on continuing the review with the other sample called KuSaFiRi in a few weeks and if you looking for something new give these a try I’m sure your shave will be just fine.
