Rose Gold Occam’s Razor - Single Edge

By now everyone who watches my YouTube channel knows that I enjoy using the Occam's Razor Enhanced Nano or the O.R.E.N for short. Back in Sept of 2018, I created a video of using the razor for the first time and I just could not stop using it I was hooked. There has not been a razor in all my reviews that come close to its performance nothing so far until today.

A few weeks ago I had a conversation with Randy Wright and he was asking me did I think it was a good idea to purchase the original Occam’s Razor as a backup to the O.R.E.N you see Randy is an O.R.E.N owner as well. I told him I have no idea how the original shaved. After we went back and forth for while he told me he was going to purchase it anyway and let me know what the results were. I’m happy to say he was very pleased with his purchase and so I take the same journey and provide you with how my experience was with the Original Occam’s Razor.

The packaging was the same no difference all of it was well thought out and they provided the same three information cards I had received with my O.R.E.N, Blade information, What the dots on the bar mean, warranty welcome information.

The Razor was pre-set for the two dots that are the medium or moderate shave setting. I have never used any other setting than this and most likely never will. The blade I use is the Feather ProGuard it pretty much checks all the boxes for me when it comes to a great shave. 

The finish I selected is rose gold and it sure looks awesome. The handle was the first big difference on this one. It's not hollowed out so the razor itself goes from 1.7 oz for the O.R.E.N to 2.2 oz you can feel the difference but it did not affect the shave. What did however was the extra-long front this part did make it slightly more difficult under the nose but since I was aware of this I compensated for it and things worked out perfectly. All of these and I’m sure more than I will ever know had been corrected with the second release.

The performance was just like the OREN not really a big difference at all so if you're looking to get one of these amazing single edge razors do it now before they are all gone. To be honest Classic Shaving does not respond to emails I have tried many times and so have a few others all reported the same thing. So I can only conclude that when these are gone that’s going to be it so don’t wait I have no idea how many they have left.
