Since the tub holds a generous puck of soap, I prefer to bloom it by adding a bit of warm water, which softens the surface and makes loading the brush effortless. I then proceeded to face lather, which worked perfectly. The soap immediately produces a thick, creamy lather with excellent slickness and glide. As I applied it, I felt it spread evenly into my beard, laying down a smooth barrier that allowed my razor to perform flawlessly. But what really stood out was the post-shave feel—it was terrific. The invigorating scent of mint paired with the cooling menthol left my skin feeling refreshed and revitalized.
Soapy Bathman’s Refreshing Mint shaving soap is an example of what a high-quality shaving product should be. The soap’s lather is luxurious and protective, offering just the right amount of cushion, yet it rinses cleanly without leaving any residue. The slickness it provides ensures a close shave with no irritation, and the menthol leaves your skin feeling cool and refreshed long after you’ve finished shaving. It’s a pity this soap is no longer available because it's a true gem in the world of wet shaving.
For those of us lucky enough to still have some of this soap in our collection, it serves as a reminder of how great a well-crafted artisan soap can be. Soapy Bathman has clearly mastered the art of combining scent, performance, and skin-nourishing properties. If you come across this soap, I highly recommend picking it up. It’s one of those rare finds that makes your shaving routine feel like a treat every time.
