Shaving & Talking #14 - Featuring Infinity

In today's shaving and talking, we dedicate our shave to Benjamin Moran. He has been sent overseas to Turkey for a year and I wanted to thank him for his service. As many of you may know we worked on the Infinity shaving soap together so this is what I am using for the tribute. All the best Ben!

I came across some interesting things on Netflix but before I get to that I’m sure everyone has heard by now that Netflix is suffering from subscription loss. This mainly can be contributed to a few things 1) Not reacting to the changing landscape. When Netflix first started we had very little in the streaming space but over the years we now have way too many to select from and at a cheaper price. 2) The worst thing that Netflix does is cancel popular series and they do this so often and without warning that it pisses people off and forces people to hold back on getting involved with anything other than a movie.

My picks this week are total opposites of each other. The first one is a BBC series that’s been on for over ten years and seems to still be going strong altho this might be its last season this one is Call the MidWife. It takes place in the late 50 and seems to progress in years with every season or two. It’s not the typical evil nuns kind of story which is refreshing. The Midwives all seem to come together for the common good of the community they serve. This is an adult show with adult situations but still light-hearted at times with great stories and very entertaining lessons about life. You’ll also shed a tear or two.

The next one is from paramount+. I never thought this was going to be made since I’ve been hearing about it forever I’m talking about HALO the top-rated video game from Microsoft. This one game when it first came out actually sealed the Xbox as the game console to get. Since then things have certainly changed. The series is fantastic and they did an excellent job of bringing this to life with a great story. The main charter is a Petty Officer John-117, or "Master Chief", The game releases are Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians, and Halo Infinite. If you like SyFy then I bet you're going to like this live-action Halo.

As always be kind to one another
