Spices From The Sea - New From Wet The Face

Today I’m proud to announce a new release from Wet The Face called Spices From the Sea. This is our take on the classic aftershave Old Spice. We think we’ve come as close as we could to the original scent profile but of course, you will be the judge of that. I had a few requests from our subscribers to get this one done. I told them I would see what I could do and oddly started to design the label first and after my second attempt I started bringing in colors and art that kind of matched the original theme and from that point, things just started to fall into place.

Old Spice Original was launched in 1938. The nose behind this fragrance is Albert Hauck. The top notes are Nutmeg, Star Anise, Aldehydes, Orange, and Lemon; the middle notes are Cinnamon, Carnation, Pimento, Geranium, Heliotrope, and Jasmine; base notes are Benzoin, Vanilla, Musk, Tonka Bean, Cedar, and Ambergris.

The Old Spice products were manufactured by the Shulton Company which was founded in 1934 by William Lightfoot Schultz. The earliest men’s products were dominated by shaving soap and aftershave lotion.

Procter & Gamble purchased Old Spice from the Shulton Company in June 1990. The clipper ship was replaced by the Sailboat/Yacht logo in the fragrance bottles in February 1992. More recently, P&G; has introduced many forms of deodorant sticks, body washes, and body sprays in several scents under the Old Spice brand. Old Spice is now the No.1 antiperspirant/deodorant stick and body wash brand in the United States.

As always be kind to one another
