Shaving & Talking Using Spices From The Sea

One of the most iconic aftershaves on the planet has to be old spice. My dad used it and I just loved sneaking a splash for myself every now and then. My dad once said if you want a girl to remember you find out what the father's aftershave is and wear it on your first date, instant bond.

The Old Spice products were manufactured by the Shulton Company which was founded in 1934 by William Lightfoot Schultz. The earliest men’s products were dominated by shaving soap and aftershave lotion. Today Proctor & Gamble owns it and after rebranding the logo and introducing deodorant Old Spice is now the No. 1 antiperspirant/deodorant stick and body wash brand in the United States.

For Wet The Face I just didn't want it to smell a little like old spice I wanted it to smell just like old spice and as dupes go I think it's spot on to the classic scent. This took a while to achieve but the result speaks for itself. I would love to make a bar soap next and convert it for use in our aftershave balms as well.

Some of the movies I talked about this week is Old Henry which if you didn't catch it is a great western with a marvelous surprise ending. Tim Blake Nelson is an amazing actor, director, and writer. He's been in so many movies that have gone on to be iconic O' Brother where art thou? Minority Report, Holes, Lincon, HBO Watchmen the list goes on. On the Netflix side, I'm currently watching Glitch a TV series from Australia from 2015 - 2019 - A police officer in a small country town finds his life turned upside down when six deceased residents with who he has a personal connection return from the dead in perfect health. The last one is called The Magicians - After being recruited to a secretive academy, a group of students discovers that the magic they read about as children is very real--and more dangerous than they ever imagined.

That's all for this week
As always be kind to one another
