To speed up the lathering process I also used the biggest brush I had in the den, it's a monster and it did cut down the time it took to make and apply lather. I first placed a little shaving cream in my hand and massaged it into my face next, I placed a little more in the wet brush and began circular motions hitting all the areas of my face and in no time I was done.
I used my O.R.E.N. razor and it cut right through my 6-day-old beard with ease and before you could say aftershave I was done. A clean shave no nicks or cuts no second pass and, during all that, I even had time to talk about a new movie I saw called Elvis.
I did manage to see Mary and stay for 2 1/2 hours and then head over to the party. I had a great time seeing everyone I'm not much of a sports fan unless it's a hockey game or if N.Y. teams are playing other than that I was happy to see the halftime show and a few of the commercials were just hilarious.
If I'm still here for next year's Super Bowl I think I'll stay home. It's just not the same thing anymore for me with my friend Peter gone. You see he passed away a few years back and it was a big deal for him to see the game so Mary and I always invited him over but we would always go to an Italian deli to get a truckload of stuff to eat I can't tell you how much fun we all had. So not having him around the super bowl has lost some of its appeal for me. When I was seeing Mary that day she also expressed how she misses Peter. He was a good friend to me as well as Mary he used to stay with her at our home so she would have someone to help her with things. He would also drive her to doctors' appointments when I was working I would do the same for him as well I took him to many appointments until his Parkinsons got the better of him. I sure do miss that guy.
So that is it for this week sorry to bring up a sad note with the conversation but I had to get that out
As always be kind to one another
