Our first giveaway this year was sponsored by Through The Fire and the soap was Deuces Wild including the aftershave. What a community response we had one of the biggest participation’s in a giveaway to date and that seemed to set the stage for the rest of the year with record numbers entering. One of the surprises for me was when I asked Maria if she wanted to send the giveaway winners prize out herself and she agreed what I didn’t expect to see was a delivery from Thought The Fire at Wet The Face. When I opened the package she sent me the same shaving soap and splash for myself how incredibly nice is that! So this leads to our review today.



The soap comes in the standard amber tub with a screw-on lid we all know with a very colorful label. Most if not all of the products are themed after what a car enthusiast would love. Each label has a picture of some sort of historic vehicle from the 50’s Chevy to the 80’s Delorean and everything in between.

The scent is a little hard to describe. Not sure I’ve ever come across this scent before and after looking for it online I could not find this anywhere not on the company website nor any distributor.

This soap has a soft texture so placing it into a lathering bowl was not a problem. Once I loaded the brush with water and emptied it into the bowl I began to lather, it only took a few min to get a rich creamy lather. As soon as I started it got right into the beard and provided great coverage. During the shave, it provided great slickness and glide and it allowed my razor to go over trouble spots without the fear of irritation and the post shave feel was a good one as well.

So I enjoy Deuces Wild and if you can find anywhere I think you would enjoy it as well.
