Barbasol Shave - First Time User

People give me all kinds of things for shaving. Especially family and friends a year ago I received a Barbasol shaving cream from my wife's friend who went out of her way to pick it up and send it to me. When I thanked her over the phone I went crazy for it and told her it was the best shaving cream I have ever used and I use it all the time. When I think of that act of kindness it brings tears to my eyes just thinking that not only did she visit Mary at home and in the nursing home but she took the time to think of me as well and wanted to make me happy. You couldn't have a better friend than that.

I have never used Barbasol until this shave so you can say I'm a first-time user. I was shocked to feel the lather and how thick it was it almost begs to be hot. One could say it was pumped up with air but I'm not 100% sure that was happening here.

Applying the lather was simple and easy to do with my fingers and once I started to shave this is when you know you're using shaving cream from a can. Even the worst shaving soap maker would give you some slickness and glide here I could not feel any. What I normally enjoy from artisan shaving soap was missing from the Babasol unfortunately but I'm not saying it was a bad shaving no, it was a different shave that I feel for me personally was somehow not enjoyable even though I had a good shave.
