Wet The Face - What's Ahead In 2019

First, I want to wish everyone a Happy NewYear for 2019. I want to thank each and every one of you for making our community what it is today. Wet the Face has exciting products and collaborations on the horizons for the new year.

We will be introducing our a new line of Tallow based shaving soaps called WTF Pucks. This will be our first hard soap and foray into using tallow in any product and so far we are extremely pleased with the results. They should be available for release in a few months. If all goes well we will be offering some of our most popular soft shaving soaps in a tallow version.

Also, we have reached out to more pottery artisans who are coming on board to offer their talents on creating amazing products for Wet The Face including shaving bowls, mugs and all kinds of handcrafted items so I can't wait to show you what we have in store.

Two weeks ago my last trip to CVS yielded two shaving creams to try and the next one I’m using is Kiss My Face a 4-1 Shaving Cream. Pretty cheap and creams goes 6oz only $4.00. Last time I used a cream unfortunately that one didn't design to lather but this time things will be different. I’ve seen so many SOTD (Shaves Of The Day) using Kiss MY Face products that I had to just try one for myself. Now this one states that it 4 in 1  leading me to believe that 4 outstanding things this cream can give the user which is soothing, smooths, hydrates & softens.   That's cute advertising but I didn’t experience all of them.

So I received this package from Texas about two weeks ago and the return address said, Daniel as it turns out this was not from the owner. I talk to so many people I couldn’t remember who this was. So inside was a unique shaving soap called Black Fern and the thing that made this so unique was its made out of Duck Fat. Now, I’ve had soaps made with duck fat before and let me tell you the ones I’ve tried have a certain odor to them which made them unusable for me but this one is not in that category. This was a pure delight to use, a custom fougere that Dave Ross created for his friend which is now part of his lineup of shaving soaps he offers along with custom shaving brushes at MERshaving a company he named after his daughter. You see Dave is a stay at home dad and he’s looking to make some money selling custom made brushes, shaving soaps, and other shaving related items while at home raising his daughter.

Believe it or not, sometimes I don’t feel like bowl lathering.  Yes, this even happens to me especially when your in that situation you need to be someplace else ASAP so how do I get a great shave fast. Well, shaving cream comes to mind but which one? I found one that's great at getting the job done the same goes for all of you who are travelers if time is something you don't have a lot of then this is the one for you. You can find this in stores like CVS, Target, Walgreens, a mere $4.00 for 6fl oz this one tube should last a long while. Thinking that I had just purchased the solution to my problems I glanced down and noticed this cream does not lather and no brush is required. That statement usually makes me place it right back on the shelf but something told me this one going to be different and I had no time for all of that anyway.
