Today I looked back at something that came in a Luxury Barber Box (remember those) about 7 years ago it was the tallow version that was the only one offered in that box its called Son Of Zeus from RazoRock. Now, I've used this before but after seven years one wonders if the soap will hold up after all the time so today we are going to find out just that.
Surprisingly when I opened the lid and removed the extra plastic cover I noticed the scent was not affected it was still as strong as the day I received it a powerful orange spice with an earthy undertone. On the other hand, something happened to the soap on the first inspection it did not look like that 7 years ago right then I thought well I'm going to have to do another video if I can't shave with this but as I inspected further I could tell this only affected a very thin first layer the rest of the soap was perfectly fine.
Once I realized all was not lost I resumed the video production and what I found was truly amazing RazoRock didn't skip a beat it had a wonderful slickness and glide and the lather was thick and rich. It went right into the beard and offered great coverage with a wonderful post-shave feel.
Could you ask for anything more from a shaving soap that has been around for that long I think not and all this for about $11:00. I think that tube 7 years ago was selling for $5.00 how crazy is that.
My advice if you never tried Razorock now would be the perfect time if you're new to wet shaving or you just want to try something new without breaking the bank.

That's it for this week
