Thanksgivng shave with a twist - Ouch!

The day started like a dream. I had been invited to a Thanksgiving feast with my nephew and the rest of the family! The gift I purchased on Amazon (Monster Truck) for my nephew's son Connor had arrived and I was set. Knowing we were expected to arrive around 2:00, I planned to shave before heading out. For the occasion, I chose my infinity shaving soap and Occam's Razor Enhanced Nano (O.R.E.N.).

When it was time to shave, I felt upbeat—my sciatica was a bit better that day. But during the shave, something unexpected happened. One of the screws securing the blade came loose, causing the razor to fly open mid-stroke. Needless to say, I cut myself badly. Despite the mishap, I managed to finish the shave. Thankfully, I had an alum block on hand, which saved the day and helped me deal with the mess.
I arrived on time and Justin made an amazing Thanksgiving feast once again proving he is a pro

During the Thanksgiving holiday, I got a call from Verizon that wanted to give me a fee for 3 months of ShowTime & Paramount + so I said sure. I have to say after having this they show the same things over and over again and it's stuff I've already seen on Netflix etc so I do not see the value but I did manage to see one thing which was fantastic it was called The Dead Don't Hurt.

The Dead Don’t Hurt is a 2023 Western drama directed by and starring Viggo Mortensen, with Vicky Krieps in a leading role. The story unfolds against the backdrop of the American frontier during the Civil War era. It centers on Vivienne Le Coudy (Krieps), a fiercely independent French-Canadian woman, and her romantic relationship with Holger Olsen (Mortensen), a Danish immigrant. The couple faces significant challenges as they navigate life in a morally and politically turbulent small town.

When Holger leaves to fight in the Civil War, Vivienne is left alone to endure injustices, including violence from a corrupt local figure, Weston Jeffries. Despite her resilience, tragedy strikes, leading to a tale of revenge, justice, and redemption as Holger returns to confront the aftermath. The story examines themes of dignity, endurance, and the complexities of justice while embracing the immigrant experience on the American frontier

The film is notable for its fresh take on the Western genre, focusing on Vivienne’s perspective and emphasizing character-driven storytelling over traditional Western tropes. It explores the human cost of violence and the hope for new beginnings, with a visual style that captures the rugged beauty of the landscape

That's all I have for this week
As always be kind to one another
