Shaving & Turner Classic Movies

For my first shave of 2024, I selected one of the soaps I use off-camera and on. It has been around for over 460 years, but not much has changed in the way of formula. I'm talking about De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap. I found out they have a line of additional products like the aftershave balm I'd like to try. So already 2024 is starting out on a wonderful note.

If you never heard of this soap my advice would be to give it a try. One word before you purchase, if you looking for a scent that knocks you over the head then this one is not for you. What it does have is a rich creamy lather with plenty of slickness and glide allowing you to have a carefree shave void of irritation. The post-shave feel is also impressive.

Also, in this video, I talk about the new channel I discovered called Turner Classic Movies or TCM on my Fios guide It's on channel 730 Suffolk Long Island. During the holiday they ran a series of movies with Cary Grant, John Wayne, and Marland Brando and noted directors like Alfred Hitchcock. Some of them I never seen, others I never finished or didn't understand the content because I was too young. So I reconnected with them and I'm so glad I did.

I think going forward I'll be paying more attention to this channel to see what I can watch. Although the style of acting can be silly and strange at times these movies still hold value to me. For instance, I can't resist watching the Marx Brothers Chico, Harpo, Groucho, Gummo, and Zeppo. They had a few movies like Horse Feathers, Duck Soup, A Night at the Opera, and Monkey Business. If it wasn't for the ability to record all of these on my DVR I wouldn't be able to enjoy any of them.

That's all I have for now.
As always be kind to one another
