A little bit about the issues of aftershave balms we had tried to reorder our tottles which is the name for the aftershave balm wh bottles we use and they have been out of stock for some time now we needed to move to something different until they are available again there is no ETA on them so we are keeping a close eye on the situation in the meantime we have a substitute.
Wet the Face is a growing community where we share our enthusiasm for the art of wet shaving. We have amazing members always eager to help each other whether you're a beginner or a seasoned wet shaver. We would be honored if you join.

A Quick Shave with Arko & Contest Info
Sometimes I'm so tired from the day's activities that I realize while I'm lying in bed I didn't shave yet. This happened to me this week so I needed to shave quickly since it was pretty late at night. I reached for Arko Extra Fresh shaving cream. This comes in a toothpaste-like tube and is so easy to dispense just place a little in your hand and massage it into your wet face and presto lather.

Arthur Shelby Bushmills From Wet The Face
Today I'm excited to introduce the third release in our Shelby Shaving Soap series called Arthur Shelby Bushmills. We used the real deal here. This is made with The Bushmills Prohibition Irish Whiskey. We had to create this carefully due to the alcohol content which is not only dangerous but if not done properly could cease the batch rendering it useless. It took over two hours to simmer some of the alcohol down to levels safe for soap making. Once it was done we knew we had something very special. You could just smell the whiskey in the air for days when the batch was drying. It was an amazing experience to finally tackle this project and now it's here for all of you to enjoy.

Shaving & Talking Using Spices From The Sea
The Old Spice products were manufactured by the Shulton Company which was founded in 1934 by William Lightfoot Schultz. The earliest men’s products were dominated by shaving soap and aftershave lotion. Today Proctor & Gamble owns it and after rebranding the logo and introducing deodorant Old Spice is now the No. 1 antiperspirant/deodorant stick and body wash brand in the United States.
For Wet The Face I just didn't want it to smell a little like old spice I wanted it to smell just like old spice and as dupes go I think it's spot on to the classic scent. This took a while to achieve but the result speaks for itself. I would love to make a bar soap next and convert it for use in our aftershave balms as well.

Shaving With Proraso Green
To speed up the lathering process I also used the biggest brush I had in the den, it's a monster and it did cut down the time it took to make and apply lather. I first placed a little shaving cream in my hand and massaged it into my face next, I placed a little more in the wet brush and began circular motions hitting all the areas of my face and in no time I was done.

Shaving With Into The Mystic
I was assigned to the prior I.T. guy's desk. It was a messy stack of output dating back to the 80s piled high with all sorts of trash and dirt all over the place. it took me months to clean it all up but during this cleanup phase, I found inside his desk a small bottle of Cool Water. This aftershave smells so amazing I decided to try and make a shaving soap of its scent and Into The Mystic was born.

Shaving With Jeeves Of Hudson Street
Most of you know I get lots of products to review and sometimes it can be overwhelming. The biggest problem is not doing the reviews but where do you put all this stuff. Well, what I do is throw them into a box right under my computer desk. When I see it getting full I'll post some of them on my flea market at discounted prices. It's worked out for me so far and as soon as I have an overflow again more will be posted. This time I dug deep into this box to the bottom and pulled out a shaving soap puck that I most likely missed.
Now before I start talking about this artisan I had reviewed some of his shaving soaps before so it's not like I missed this one and the reviews never happened they did. This company was Jeeves Of Hudson Street and he did have a wonderful product the last time I looked he also had a very big following if I remember correctly.
